BEST of ANNAH album launch concert
AnnaH Dániel's concert is the album launch of her fourth album, Best of AnnaH, which is out now.
Her first album, "Swing Rhythm Revival", is a selection of forgotten, but still living, gems from the swing era.
The second album, "All That Swing", included songs by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, blues, musical covers and jazz-inspired hits.
The third album, "Rambling Alone", takes you on a journey through the world of old and new jazz styles,
from the 1940s to the present day.
AnnaH is well-versed in all genres, shaping all good music in her own image.
She's written English lyrics for Duke Ellington's orchestral Black Beauty,
or created virtuoso melodic variations on Gershwin's famous Fascinating Rhythm.
One of the rock and soul songs, /Hitchcock/, tells the secret story of a horror film in the title track,
while /Rambling Alone/ is originally a piece of southern Slavic urban folklore,
which became a real jazz gem with lyrics by AnnaH Dániel.
There's also a Parisian chanson /Johnny/, the famous /Take Five/ is hardly ever sung,
but there's no shortage of lyrical ballads: /Stormy Weather/.
AnnaH's individual style is characterised by a hot, dynamic tempo, a pulsating rhythm and a flowing melodicism.
The band is made up of famous Hungarian jazz musicians who have also contributed to the creation of the albums:
Ákos György /piano/, Viktor Hárs /bass/, Béla Szalóky /hornet, flugelhorn/, Zoltán Zana /saxophone/.

RAMBLING ALONE and the upcoming new record
At the opening of the Summer Theatre of Zsámbék, Annah sang from her album Rambling Alone
and the forthcoming new album. The venue of the open-air concert was the former Soviet missile base,
now the site of Art Base. Sinister missile silos, terrifying launch pads, camouflaging pine trees:
the setting for the future theatre hub was now set to the lyrical ballads and upbeat tunes of classic jazz.
And at the piano was the long-missed Ákos György ...
